Officers of the Rotary Club of West El Paso

Each officer serves a one year term. The President conducts all club meetings. During his absence meetings will be held by the Vice-President. The office of President, President-Elect and Vice President can only be filled by a club member in good standing who has previously completed a full term either as secretary, treasurer or a director of the Rotary Club of West El Paso.

Executive Secretary: Carey Beamesderfer

Carey is originally from Pennsylvania. He relocated to the El Paso area in June 2006 after retiring from a successful career in technical support services & engineering management with The Hershey 'Chocolate' Company. He and his wife, Donna have 5 children and 14 grandchildren, and enjoy traveling around the world, camping in their RV, and managing their rental properties. They participated in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Rotary Friendship Exchanges to Alberta, Canada; Lincoln, England;and Cornwall, Ontario, Canada and completed two Rotary Club missions to San Jose Villaneuva, El Salvador in Nov. 2010 & 2011 to build homes for people in the village. This was done in conjunction with the Rotary Club of North Renfrew, Ontario, Canada. Carey is a past President of this Club, and was the District 5520 RYLA Chair for 4 years. He has been a RYLA Camp Counselor for 7 years and also serves as Webmaster for the Club. Carey participated in Rotary projects in Bolivia & Nicaragua, to assist the Bridges to Prosperity task force from the Alamorgordo Rotary Club. Carey & Donna have traveled with Rotary's ITHF (International Travel & Hosting Fellowship) in Thailand, Japan & South Korea. Carey is a Paul Harris fellow, an Eagle Scout and has been a Scoutmaster, baseball and soccer coach. Both Carey & Donna helped build three homes with Casas por Cristo & SPJ in Juarez, Mexico, and helped decorate the Rotary float during the Rose Bowl parade in Pasadena, CA. They are also members of the Rotary Recreational Vehicle Fellowship where Carey serves as a Mountain Zone Director.
